London South Bank University (LSBU) has announced the new Nat Puri Scholarships. They are to be offered through a partnership between alumnus Nat Puri, the University and the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme who will receive a full scholarship including fees, a grant for living costs and travel expenses. The only condition is that the recipients must be studying in an area, regarded by the Commonwealth Scholarships Scheme, as providing knowledge and skills that are required in the student’s country of origin, such as engineering.

Businessman Nat Puri has made a generous donation of £50,000 to set up the scholarships, which will be matched by the University and the Commonwealth Scholarship Scheme.

i am zimbabwean who was at south bank university june 1992 to july 93 courtesy of world council of churches and south bank and dfid. i completed a diploma in health services and hospital management with a distinction. my course director E Lyn Cote advised that i had been offered a place when ever i secured funding for postraduate diploma/Msc in health services and hospital management; that was way back 1995. the zeal is still burning but the hurdle has been to secure the requisite funding. i am a mature christian student who firmly believes its not over untill it is over, and humbly but expectantly request for good smaritans to come to my aid.
